Denny and L.L. are proud owners of Legacy & Legends Softball LLC, based out of Austin, Texas.
Strong supporters and advocates for the preps softball community, the Langs have silently given so much to empower young female athletes to pursue their dreams of attending and playing softball at the collegiate level.
Often seen at softball tournaments however hardly recognized by most, the Langs prefer a quiet "behind the scenes" role in supporting female athletics, preferring to the keep the attention on the players and not on them.
Denny is a military veteran and an alumnus of the University of Iowa and Mississippi State University (MBA). L.L. is an alumnus of Auburn University and the University of Texas (MBA), and they reside in Southlake, Texas.
Director
Ron serves as the Director of Legacy & Legends Softball LLC and is responsible for the overall operations of L&LS, performing duties such as liaison, public affairs/engagement, event coordination, and leading a team of coaches/evaluators and journalists.
Ron is a military veteran who is also a recognized leader in the US military fitness strength and conditioning programs as well as sports programs.
A subject matter expert who always gets results, Ron has been pivotal in ensuring the fitness and readiness requirements are met for active-duty military personnel.
Furthermore, Ron has been very successful in his softball coaching endeavors wherever he has been or goes. With a very impressive proven coaching record with notable championships garnered in travel ball, high school, recreational, and adult leagues, Ron has become a key consultant for fastpitch hitting and pitching mechanics.
As a private instructor, Ron has worked with and mentored numerous high-profile players who have gone on to achieve impressive careers after high school. With his remarkably impressive record coaching travel ball, albeit retired from travel ball coaching, Ron continues to be an important member in the preps softball community who many seek for mentorship and guidance.
Ron is an alumnus of Cal State University - Bakersfield, with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and is from Orange County, California and a huge fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Rams, and USC Trojans (and UCLA Softball).
Chief of Evaluations and Rankings and Recruiting
Al or "Coach Al" is responsible for the player evaluations, rankings, and recruiting efforts for Legacy & Legends Softball LLC, establishing and maintaining liaison with college and travel ball coaches across the nation and oversees the evaluations and rankings boards.
Coach Al's softball and baseball experiences/resume is very diverse and impressive, with both very remarkable achievements as a coach, scout/evaluator, and player, in the United States and internationally.
He has quickly become a nationally recognized and respected subject matter expert when it comes to the evaluations of fastpitch preps players. It has become the norm for college coaches to reach out to him asking for assistance with their recruiting efforts and his rankings lists are considered by many as the most accurate within the preps softball community.
Starting off as a highly touted high school baseball prospect in Texas, Al would turn down collegiate offers and invites to play minor league baseball and go on to wrestle at Angelo State University and play men's club softball for Angelo State University (garnering Texas Collegiate All-Tourney Team honors) where he also was a member of the football team shortly before suffering a shoulder injury.
Al would later play fastpitch with the Bossier City Bombers and be a member of an international US Team in Southwest Asia (US Eagles), being lauded for his speed and athleticism in the outfield and middle infield.
Coach Al also served as the handpicked head coach for the Kuwait Little League team during their inaugural "dream season" which would eventually be cut short due to military conflicts within the region.
Coach Al also has a remarkably impressive fastpitch coaching record in both high school and travel ball and served for over 10 years as a private consultant and recruiting scout for colleges.
His experience as a player, coach, and scout have been invaluable in his performance of his current duties as the Chief of Evaluations and Rankings.
A very likeable man who is all about supporting and helping players and parents reach their collegiate softball dreams.
Coach Al is an alumnus of Texas Tech University (BA-History; Exercise Sports Sciences); Embry-Riddle University (MBA); Air University (Masters MOAS - Journalism/Social Media); National University (MEd) and Texas A&M School of Law and holds numerous nationally accredited coaching certifications.
