My name is Maylee Young I’m 11 years old. I’m a catcher/utility from Alabama and I play travel ball for TN Mojo 2013-Hunter.
I enjoy playing softball, volleyball, and basketball!!!
How did your softball journey begin?
I played T-Ball when I was 4/5 years old
What are your greatest strengths as a softball player?
My Defensive Catching.
What kind of hitter are you, and what are your most recent offensive stats?
Gap to Gap- I want to be a power hitter so bad!!!
What is your favorite sports memory and greatest achievement?
My team won the PGF Super Select Bandits Power 80 and I won the MVP at the Jen Schro Catching retreat and got to attend for free the next time and also received stellar achiever award!!!
How do you handle adversity and even failure?
FAITH. I know God has me!!! And trust in my training.
How would your teammates and friends describe you? Energetic, uplifting.
Who is your role model and or idol, and why?
Jessie Blaine and Kinzie Hansen are my favorite softball players.
If you could spend a day with any softball player, former or current, who would it be and why?
Jessie Blaine (Mississippi State catcher) Because she’s one of my favorites and her dad is a Marine and so was my dad!!! So, I think we would have a lot in common!!!
What are your softball dreams and goals?
I would love to play at Auburn University… War Eagle!!!
What do you want coaches to know about you?
I’m the umpire and my pitcher's best friend!!! I give it 110% every time I’m on the field!!! I’m the best teammate!!! I put God first!!!

What other hobbies do you have to balance out softball and your personal life?
Workout, and enjoy playing basketball and volleyball.
