Team Spotlight: Beverly Bandits Premier - Krause 16U

By Jeremiah Coates, L&LS:

The epitome of a stacked team is what you have in Beverly Bandits Premier - Krause 16U. Beverly Bandits Premier - Krause 16U is one of four 16U teams in the Beverly Bandit Organization. This team is comprised of very talented players from the 2024 and 2025 graduating class, including players from North Carolina, Illinois, Indiana, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Built on elite pitching, great defense, and the ability execute a triple threat offensively, including hitting for power, shooting the gaps or executing the small ball game. This team can truly do it all. With very high expectations, this talented first year 16U team boasts a very bright future.

Danika Frazier (Pitcher - 2024)

Beverly Bandits - Chow, now known as Beverly Bandits Premier - Krause 16U, started this team at 10U with the leadership of Tony Michalski. Coach Michalski led this team for many years, winning numerous tournaments along the way. Bill Conroy, founder of the Beverly Bandits, has a practice of shaking things up a bit once teams reach a certain age.

When this team moved up to 16U, Bill Conroy felt it was time for change and appointed Coach Regan Krause to lead this team as the new head coach for the 2022 summer season. Coach Regan’s success as a former pitcher for Bill Conroy’s 16U team, who won the Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) National Title in 2019, helped pave the way for the opportunity to pitch at Stanford University for the Lady Cardinals.

Sydni Burko (Third Baseman - 2024)

Coach Brian Hanik and Coach Casey Skeens have been on the coaching staff in the Beverly Bandit organization for many years and will bring tenured experience to Beverly Bandits Premier - Krause 16U as the assistant coaches.

This team is a very tight-knit group, with the majority of the girls playing together since 10U which fosters a very family-like atmosphere with very little turnover. The support for one another and the girls always wanting what is best for the team, is one of the foundations that has solidified their success.

Allie Blum (Shortstop - 2024)

Beverly Bandits - Krause 16U welcomes the addition of Riley Haggas for the 2022 summer season. Riley comes from Unity Johnson and Team NC. Riley is a Top 40 Player in Extra Inning Softball from the Class of 2025.

The team has a number of players ranked in multiple softball publications, including 3 players ranked in the Top 50 by Extra Inning Softball Class of 2024. Sydni Burko (Third Baseman) Ranked 8th, Danika Frazier (Pitcher) Ranked 24th, and Allie Blum (Shortstop) Ranked 48th.

Gabi Novickas (First Baseman - 2025)

Furthermore, the Bandits also have three players ranked by Extra Inning Softball Top 50 for the Class of 2025. Elana Krause (Pitcher) Ranked 17th, Riley Haggas (Infielder) Ranked 39th, and Gabi Novickas (First Baseman) Ranked 49th.

The team prides itself on being a true TEAM that knows the winning of many tournaments would not have been accomplished without the contribution and talent of every player on this team. This elite roster also includes the talent of Alli Gavin (Catcher), Caroline O’Brien (Outfielder/Catcher), Cam Lyons (Outfielder), Emily Siurek (Pitcher), Breanna Hanik (Outfielder), Peyton Drummond (Outfielder), and Maddy Johnson (Infielder). All of these players are ranked in the Top 200 by Extra Inning Softball for either Class of 2024 or Class of 2025. All of these young ladies bring a solid skill set to the team making the Beverly Bandits Premier - Krause 16U a top elite team on the national stage.

Elana Krause (Pitcher - 2025)

Being such a highlighted squad, all of these players are already on many college radars, including Division 1 (D1) and D1 Power 5 teams.

In 2021 this team went 89-18-1 playing one of the toughest Summer and Fall schedules in the country. Ranked in the Top 15 in 14U by nearly every softball publication, the team went 8-2 at Independence Day Tournament (IDT) Colorado, and 7-2 at PGF Nationals for a Top 15 finish this year.

The upcoming season goals are to win PGF Nationals and IDT Colorado and yes, that is being a first year 16U team. Coach Krause and Bill Conroy have set high expectations for this team and there is no doubt this team is up to the challenge. With the hardwork these ladies put into their game, the sky is the limit.
