You’re a well-recognized elite prospect for the 2027 class. What else can you tell us about yourself?

I am a multi-sport athlete, playing softball, basketball, and volleyball. I moved from Wisconsin to Florida 4 years ago. I am a straight A student with a 4.0 GPA. I love to spend my time with friends and family at the beach when not on a court or ball field. I also have been rocking out on the guitar since I was 8 years old.

How did your softball journey begin?

I started playing when I was 6 years old with my sister on an 8u team in Wisconsin. My sister was a pitcher so I decided to become a catcher so I could catch for her.

What are your greatest strengths as a softball player?

My greatest strength as a softball player is my ability to be confident in any situation and use that confidence to play with aggressiveness and instinct.

What kind of hitter are you and what are your most recent offensive stats?

I am a line drive gap to gap hitter. My most recent stats are:

2022 Fall Season 81 plate appearances

Batting Average: .418

On Base Percentage: .469

Slugging Percentage: .595

Hits: 31

Runs Scored: 23

You’re obviously very busy with so many activities and events in your life. How do you balance your life and manage your time so effectively?

I focus during school hours to get my homework done in free time, so that after school I can dedicate my time to athletics and hobbies. Working out (strength and conditioning) is important to me, so I make sure I get plenty of rest so I can work out in the morning before school starts, not wasting any day hours.

Describe your game day mental preparation and your thought process and mindset in the batter’s box.

On the car drive to a game, I listen to music, to get pumped-up. When I am on deck, I visualize the pitch I am going to swing at and I visualize myself getting a great hit. When I am in the batters box, I am looking to “do damage” with one swing, meaning I am looking to crush the ball.

What is your favorite sports memory and greatest achievement?

My favorite sports memory is winning the Florida PGF State tournament in Newberry with my travel team. We had a tough loss on Saturday, but on Sunday played the same team in the semifinals and moved on to win the tournament.

How do you handle adversity and even failure?

I understand that the only way to get better and learn is through failure and just keep practicing.

How would your teammates and friends describe you?

My teammates and friends describe me as hardworking, a leader, fun, funny, thoughtful and always having a positive attitude.

Who is your role-model and or idol and why?

My role models are my mom and my dad because they both work very hard for what they get and never give up on anything.

Zoe's family: father (Joe), mother (laura), sister (Tatum), and brother (Lincoln)

If you could spend a day with any softball player, former or current, who would it be and why?

I would spend a day with Sam Roe because I met her when I was 10 at my travel team practice. I later saw her at a Gators camp and really enjoyed seeing her again. I admire her – she is always willing to give back with lots of energy and positive attitude.

What is your softball dream/goal?

My softball goal is to play softball when I am in college.

What are your favorite college softball teams?

My favorite college softball teams are the Florida Gators and Florida State University.

What is your favorite jersey number and why did you choose it?

My jersey number is 8 and I chose it because my dad was number 8 when he played baseball in high school.

What other hobbies do you have to balance out softball and your personal life?

I love to go to the beach, play basketball and volleyball, and enjoy playing the guitar.

Who would you like to thank for your softball achievements and support?

I would like to thank my dad for always pushing me to be better and work my hardest, even when sometimes I don’t want to.
