Who is Hailey Graham?

Hailey Graham is a 14 year old that lives in Brentwood, California, Hailey loves softball, her family, friends, and her dog, Charlie. In her spare time, Hailey enjoys being outdoors, camping, swimming and going to the beach.

How did your softball journey begin?

I saw my little brother playing baseball and it looked fun, but I didn’t want to play with boys so my parents found me a local Little League (East County Little League) that had softball. As soon as I played my first game at 7 years old, I fell in love! I started playing travel ball at the age of 8.

What are your greatest strengths as a softball player?

My greatest strengths are my ability to cover the bunts with my on the run throw as well as my arm angles. I also am a student of the game and am always wanting to learn and improve my game.

“Hailey has just joined our team this year, we are thrilled to have such a talented young athlete. Hailey has shown to be a team player and very coachable. Her max potential has not even been reached. I’m very excited to be able to work with Hailey and be a part of her journey with softball, wherever that may take her”

--- Jenae Leles, Head Coach Firecrackers Leles-Enyart 2026

61 Hits

23 Doubles

57 RBI

13 K

.927 FPCT

Describe your leadership style and what characteristics do you find in outstanding leaders?

I lead by example. I am always one of the first to practice and I never walk on the field. I am not one of the loudest, but my work ethic is what I like to model on the field. I think that outstanding leaders have a great work ethic and are selfless people. A leader is someone who is willing to put the team first with a goal in mind and helps motivate their teammates to achieve that goal.

“Hailey is a tough corner that is hungry for the ball. She possesses a ton of power offensively and is always looking to improve through the hard work she puts in daily. Looking forward to watching her rise.”

You’re obviously very busy with so many activities and events in your life. How do you balance your life and manage your time so effectively?

School is always my priority, but I make time for the side work and lessons to keep my softball skills sharp. Keeping my routine consistent is important to help keep me focused on my lessons and training and on top of my school work.

Describe your gameday mental preparation and your thought process and mindset in the circle and/or the batter’s box.

After I wake up and get dressed, I have a good breakfast with plenty of protein. On the way to the game I listen to music to get me focused. Once I get to the field with my team, I am focusing on getting my arm and body warmed up and then on to the tee to warm up my swing. When I step into the box, I always come with a game plan and a yes, yes, yes approach.

What is your favorite sports memory and greatest achievement?

I have many memories of tournament wins and each is special, but some of my greatest memories are the many friendships I have made over the years. I have spent many hard practices and long weekends at the field with these girls and the memories and bonds we have formed will never go away. Even as we get older and start playing for different teams, I am still very close with many of these girls.

Some of my favorite sporting achievements are hitting my first over the fence home run at my first Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) Showcase in Las Vegas and being selected to Team Spain at the Triple Crown International Challenge. Both are things I am very proud of.

How do you handle adversity and even failure?

I practice every day with my dad and coaches and I am always working to improve my game. I am trying to get 1% better each day and look at every rep as an opportunity to get better. I try to not let failure bother me because softball is a game of failure…I am constantly reminding myself of that. If I don’t learn from my mistakes, that just means I wasn’t paying attention.

How would your teammates and friends describe you?

Friendly, funny, hard-working and life of the party. They would say I am a hard worker and always wanting to learn.

Who is your role-model and or idol and why?

My role model is Rachel Cid of UCLA because she’s a local athlete as well as a 3rd baseman. Her energy on the field is great and I love how explosive her first step is. I train with her when she is in town and really value what she teaches me. More than anything, I enjoy how down to Earth she is. I would like to be able to give back to younger athletes one day, like her.

If you could spend a day with any softball player, former or current, who would it be and why?

Sis Bates because her energy is really good and she’s a great player. I would like to see what her pre-game routine was and how she trained in the offseason.

What is your softball dream/goal?

My softball dream/goal would be to go to a D1 college and have a chance to play in the College World Series.

Describe your perfect softball team.

My perfect softball team is a team that would work for each other and compete every day to help each other get better. This team would also have a championship mindset and not stop until we reach our goal.

When deciding on what college team to play for what are the most important things you’re looking for? Is it location, academics, conference, championship winning history, school reputation, coaching staff, team chemistry, weather, school colors etc.?

I would like to pick a college with a good Kinesiology department first. Secondly, would like to play for a college with a winning softball program and a coach that connects well with the players and pushes them to be the best version of themselves. Lastly, I would like to play somewhere warm, but that isn’t a deal breaker!

What gets you hyped or ready before a game?

Pre-game music and getting fired up with the rest of the girls. Our handshakes after our infield drills really get the dugout hyped!

What is your favorite jersey number and why did you choose it?

#22 is my favorite jersey number. When I had to switch from my very first number, #5, I picked #22 and have had some success with it. I am superstitious and have kept it because I have had some success with it. My teammates all call me “deuces” and I like how that sounds.

What other hobbies do you have to balance out softball and your personal life?

My other hobbies are making Tik Tok videos and checking out Instagram, but I also enjoy going to the gym, hanging out with friends and spending time with my family.

Who would you like to thank for your softball achievements and support?

I would like to thank my parents first because without their support, I wouldn’t be here right now. We spend a lot of time together in the car every week because they drive me to all of my practices, lessons, and games. I also want to thank all of my coaches and trainers for teaching me a good work-ethic, for pushing me to be a better player and for always believing in me.
