You’re an elite blue chip prospect. What else should we know about you?
I am a perfectionist and believe in giving everything I do 100%. I am a multi-sport athlete and fiercely competitive at everything. I always want to do the best job I can do, but be open to learning as much as I can.
How did your softball journey begin?
I got a late start with softball. I was never interested in playing until I was 8 years old. I went to a rec league practice to watch and wasn’t even signed up. It looked like fun and I decided to give it a try. That was it, I was hooked.
What are your greatest strengths as a softball player?
I think my #1 strength is my speed. Also my ability to track the ball and my fierce competitiveness.
What kind of hitter are you and what are your most recent offensive stats?
I would consider myself a very versatile hitter. I can power hit from the right side or lay down a bunt if needed. I can also get on the left and slap or bunt.

“Munk is one of the fastest, smartest base runners in the 2027 age class that I have personally seen. She is fun to watch, as she is nearly always guaranteed to get on base and score. Whether we need her to hit for power or lay down the perfect bunt, she will get it done. She can also switch to the left side of the plate when needed. When it comes to defense, I know I can count on her to lock down the hot corner or make a do or die play in the outfield. Even beyond talent, what I admire most about her is that she give 100% effort all the time in everything she does. She is coachable, as well as a great teammate. Her attitude and talent will take her as far as she desires to go in the game.”

How did you get your nickname?
We asked Munk's mother Tonji Sanders:
"She gets that question a lot. When she first started playing in 8U she was so tiny. Always the smallest kid but fierce! Her step-dad who was her coach said she was a munchkin. It got shortened to Munk and everyone started calling her Munk. It stuck and now most people don’t know her real name. Lol"

Mackenzie Donihoo. She has such an dynamic personality on the field. I think she would be an amazing person to get to know personally.
